The Salt Works Sessions
The Saltworks Sessions were introduced to the Lion Salt Works Museum by Ian Dutton and Bev Dean, both having passion for live folk music and a love for the atmospheric space at the venue.
The space used is part of the original Marston Saltworks building, which now has ancient monument status. The site has recently had a multi-million pound renovation and has proved to be the perfect venue for music performances. With warm and intimate acoustics paired with a beautiful historical setting, audiences and performers alike have embraced this very special setting.
Thanks to Ian and Bev, there is now a committed team. The Salt Museum and Macks Music have come on board to ensure the experience for performers and the audience is a memorable one.
The aim of the project is to bring high calibre performers to an unsuspecting setting, and attract an audience that would normally attend much larger venues.
A licensed bar is provided at all events.
The Salt Works Sessions were established by Ian Dutton and Bev Dean to provide exceptional quality folk music in the beautiful and intimate setting of the historical Lion Salt Works in Marston.
These events aim to bring a variety of sought after musical acts to a small and attentive audience in a unique historical setting.
Bev and the Macks Music team have collaborated for many years to bring a highly regarded event to that musicians and audiences alike have to come to love.
Each evening promises a unique musical experience, high production quality, and of course a fully licensed bar!
